Madison rock legends Garbage have released a video for "Blood for Poppies," the first single from the band's new album, Not Your Kind of People, due out May 15. It's the first Garbage album since 2005's Bleed With Me.
The new song is a mid-tempo rocker with minor-key verses, rapid-fire lyrics, a great, bold guitar riff and a chorus that doesn't yet linger with me. The video features grainy black and white imagery of planets zooming around, band members playing chess, and what appears to be someone using a straight razor to slice open singer Shirley Manson's eyeball.
