Two representatives of the National Security Agency (NSA) found themselves the object of surveillance when they conducted a recruiting session at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on Tuesday, July 2.
Madiha R. Tahir, an independent journalist and graduate student attending the South Asia Summer Language Institute on campus, reported on her personal blog, The Mob and the Multitude, about attending the presentation, where she questioned the recruiters about their pitches and the recent furor over the agency's sweeping surveillance net in the United States and around the world. Another attendee recorded the exchange, and Tahir subsequently published this audio online along with a rough transcript.
